Lynn Gourley, 20 years old, Banbridge born and bred has had a wide experience in all forms of dance. From the small age of 3 Lynn started dancing at the Kim Arlow Dance Academy learning styles such as; Tap, Modern, Ballet, Lyrical. Lynn trained there from 2000-2012 before furthering her dance training at the Jennifer Marshall School of Dance for another 6 years training and between both school she completed up to her advanced foundation exams in Tap, Modern and Ballet. In 2014, she began with Ajendance Dance Company in Belfast studying all arts of Hip Hop and commercial modern jazz, in which were new subjects for her to take on and build on her dance technique.
Lynn has attended many high profile professional workshops including: summer school at the Sylvia Young Theatre school in London (2013); Dance forward workshop in London, working alongside professionals such as Lizzie Gough/Wayne Sleep (2014); Bursary to train with professionals in the Lyric Theatre, Belfast (2014) and many other workshops in all style of dance with; Natz McP, Don King Rongavilla, Freddie Huddleston and Douglas Yolland. Lynn has choreographed routines for local fashion shows, she has had experience choreographing group, solo and duo routines and when in school she choreographed many displays. Lynn recently took on a very big role with Banbridge Musical Society, in which after many years of taking part in all their local shows such as; Oliver, Wizard of Oz, Sweet Charity and The king and I she recently took the role of being the Choreographer for Banbridge Musical Society and after a sell-out 7 shows for Annie she was welcomed back to make sure that their next show Little Shop of Horrors was another show to remember. As well as choreographing, Lynn teaches for Ajendance Full time running their Banbridge studio from Monday-Saturday teaching all forms of dance such as; Tap, Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Drama and Lyrical and in June 2016 she took a course in Tap fit for adults to get fit through dance. Lynn still dances in any performances going when she can and intends to further her career in dance and choreography for a long time.
